To develop student leaders through direct community service, giving every member real ownership over the projects they run.
Who we are
Leadership • Experience • Opportunity
The Leo Club of Thurstan College is the school's youth-led service organisation, chartered under the Leo Movement in Sri Lanka (Leo District 306 D7). We bring together students who want to lead before they are asked to, through hands-on community service, fellowship, and structured leadership development.
Mission and vision
A generation of Thurstanians who see leadership as an act of service, not a title — carrying that habit far beyond school.

The pledges
Recited at every meeting
I pledge my hands, extended and open to help those in need. I pledge my heart, reach for it and it will be touched. I pledge my ears, to hear another's outcry; my eyes, to see the plight of others; and my knowledge, to bring a person closer to their dreams. I pledge myself to the betterment of my community, my state and my country.
I salute the National Flag of Sri Lanka, which signifies the independence of my country and stands for all its people, united as one nation. I pledge allegiance to Sri Lanka and undertake to work towards its peace and prosperity in a spirit of tolerance and love.
